Art, for me, is both deeply personal and beautifully connective. Watercolor, in particular, is my daily meditative practice—a gentle teacher that has shown me how to embrace life’s unpredictability, slow down, and find joy in the details. It’s through this process that I’ve come to appreciate the breathtaking beauty of the natural world, especially here on Kodiak Island, where the wildlife, plants, and marine life inspire so much of my work.
Beyond personal reflection, I see my art as a bridge to something greater—a way to nurture connection. By turning my designs into greeting cards, I hope to encourage the timeless art of letter writing: celebrating life’s joys, sharing encouragement, and spreading love across distances. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that what starts as a quiet moment of creativity on my part becomes a meaningful piece of someone else’s story, sent to homes and hearts near and far.
With gratitude,
